Matthew R. Laird has been practicing law since 2007. He has extensive trial experience and uses this to his clients’ advantage in their birth injury cases. He knows how to create and argue compelling cases in front of judges and juries to make sure his clients’ rights are protected to the fullest extent. Matthew often draws upon his experience as a trial attorney for the U.S. Army to provide more effective legal counsel.

Matthew obtained his B.A. from DePauw University in 2003 and went on to graduate with his Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University, College of Law in 2007. After passing the bar, he worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Colorado for one year and then spent the next four years working as a military prosecutor. After that, Matthew worked as a military defense appellate attorney for one year.

Matthew was nominated for the Young Military Lawyer of the Year in 2011 and was named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 list in 2015. His compassion and commitment to helping the injured have earned him a reputation among his peers and defense attorneys alike.
